Sample Cheer/Dance Trip Itinerary

Here's an sample of what a typical trip experience might look like, although changes can be made.
As you are reading the itinerary, be aware that all transportation during the trip is provided for you.
You'll just catch the bus and go!  

And with all transportation, meals, and planning taken care of for you, 
plus all the theme parks to keep the squad entertained away from the game, 
this is finally a game trip that you can enjoy too!

Wednesday, Arrival Day, Orientation

Squad goes to school all day and departs that evening
Squad, Coaches, & Tag-Alongs depart on flight
Arrival in Sunny San Diego, California
Welcome from KSA and Campus Get-Aways Rep  
Get ready for some California style fun
Transfer directly to the hotel
Registration and Key Distribution (No hassle check-in!)
Quick orientation at check-in so you're prepared for the week
Your luggage will be at the back of the hotel for easy access to your rooms
Free time by the Pool to relax!
Room Check & Lights Out 

Thursday, Workshop and Banquet Day

Buffet Breakfast at the hotel
Squad transfers to Workshop
Dance Workshop with the San Diego Charger Cheerleaders
        Hard work, sweat and teamwork combine to make this a great dance workshop
Squad transfers back to the hotel to shower and change
We'll head downtown for lunch at Kansas City Barbecue
The restaurant made famous by Top Gun Fighter pilots and made
        an icon in the movie "Top Gun". 'Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire!'
It also just happens to have the best Bar-B-Que in San Diego!
Then, transfer to Coronado Island
Now that you're Top Gun ready, enjoy the awesome southern 
California beauty on this drive across the bay to Coronado Island, 
home of the world famous Hotel del Coronado and our next stop:
The Naval Station North Island, Coronado
Tour the one of the incredible Aircraft Carriers that call the Station Home
You'll have a chance to take one of the coolest tours in the country
        onboard the most powerful offensive ship in the Navy and get up 
close and personal with the aircraft that make it formidable.  
You may choose to take a narrated boat tour of the harbor or whale watching tour instead of the aircraft carrier tour if you like
After the tour, we'll head back to the hotel to change for the banquet
In the evening, transfer to The KSA Celebration of Athletes Banquet

All teams, cheerleaders, coaches, and Tag-Along Fans will come together to meet and celebrate sportsmanship. Get your camera ready, this is a once in a lifetime experience.  We'll be seated and receive a fabulous banquet style meal. After dinner, each group will be introduced and each coach will say a few words about their group. Every team member, cheerleader, drill team member, manager, trainer, and coach will receive a KSA Participation Medal-because everyone who worked hard enough to get here is a winner! And finally, to close the Banquet, each Cheerleading Squad will take center stage for a performance in front of the entire group, showing which school has the best spirit. Is it you?

The KSA Celebration of Athletes Ceremony is sponsored by KSA Events and Campus Get-Aways. To keep the event unique and intimate, only students, coaches, and Campus Get-Aways Tag-Along Fans are eligible to attend, so make sure your parents book in time.
After the fun, transfer back to the hotel

Friday, Game Day

Buffet Breakfast at the hotel
Squad transfers to Workshop
Cheerleading Workshop with a local College squad or Varsity Spirit
Hone your skills even more at this cheerleading specific clinic
Back to hotel to shower and change
Squad transfers to La Jolla
Spend the afternoon shopping and sightseeing in this upscale section 
of San Diego, with its great shopping, famous cove, seals, park, 
and did we mention the best shopping you'll ever see!
Lunch on your own in La Jolla
Later in the afternoon, transfer back to the hotel to get ready for the game
At appropriate time, the team will transfer to the Stadium for
the KSA Kick-Off Classic - featuring your team 
Junior Varsity game, if played, will usually precede the varsity game,
but is sometimes played Saturday morning
Tag-Alongs will have their own transportation a little closer to game time
After your performance at halftime and your team wins--
Transfer back to the hotel for a Celebration Pizza Party
Free time by the Pool to relax!

Saturday, Celebration Day

Sleep in a little, you earned it
Breakfast at the hotel 
Entire group transfers to Sea World - The Original
Spend the morning with Shamu and the other great animals.  
Check out all the shows as well as the great rides
Lunch in the park with a Meal Coupon
In the afternoon, we'll transfer to Mission Beach
Spend the afternoon soaking up the California Sunshine. You can 
spend time on the beach, walk to the pier and watch the people fish 
(or rent supplies and try it yourself), rent a bike or in-line skates for a 
quick ride along the cement boardwalk, or spend time at the small 
Ferris wheel and amusement park on the Beach. Any way you go, 
it is a great setting to watch the sun set over the Pacific.
After dark, in true California Style, we'll have a buffet cookout on the beach 
Enjoy the night with an open fire, acoustic music, the relaxing
waves, and all the stars you can count
Transfer back to the hotel
Free time by the Pool to relax!

Sunday, Departure Day “The Trip Home”

Buffet Breakfast at the hotel
Check out of hotel & Load Luggage into luggage truck
Transfer to Balboa Park downtown and the world famous San Diego Zoo
Spend the morning touring a true national treasure full of exotic
         and endangered animals.
Lunch on your own
After lunch, we'll all meet and then depart for the airport
Goodbye San Diego
