Sample Football Trip Itinerary
Here's
an sample of what a typical team experience might look like, although
changes can be made.
As you are reading the itinerary, be aware that all transportation
during the trip is provided for you.
You'll just catch the bus and go!
And
with all transportation, meals, and planning taken care of for you,
plus all the attractions to keep the team entertained away from
the game,
this is finally a game trip that you can enjoy too!

The sample itinerary below is just that, a sample. It merely shows
the types of activities in which some schools have participated
in the past and a sample of one school's schedule. Your school's
itinerary/inclusions/order of events will definitely vary based
on the particular inclusions chosen by your school, flight schedules,
widely varying competition times, and other scheduling factors that
can not be estimated in advance.
Wednesday,
Arrival Day, Orientation
Team goes to school all day and departs that evening
Team, Coaches, & Tag-Alongs depart on flight
Arrival in the Birthplace of our Nation - Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania
Welcome from KSA and Campus Get-Aways Rep
Transfer directly to the hotel
Registration and Key Distribution (No hassle check-in!)
Quick orientation at check-in so you're prepared
for the week
Your luggage will be at the back of the hotel for easy access
to your rooms
Free time by the Pool to relax!
Room Check & Lights Out
FYI, some teams in the past have chosen to come into town
on Tuesday night after school and spent Wednesday, in addition
to practicing, touring New York City and all the great sites of
the Big Apple.
Thursday,
Practice and Banquet Day
Buffet Breakfast at the hotel
Team transfers to Practice
After practice, back to the hotel for a quick shower and change
Board the buses for a narrated Tour of Historic Philadelphia
We'll start the tour by heading straight to a quick meal at
Pat's - King
of Steaks for
a real Philadelphia Cheesesteak. Then the tour will
begin and you'll see the entire Historic District, including a
tour of
Independence Hall and
the Liberty Bell. Additionally, we'll learn
about Ben Franklin
and the other founders of our country. To end the
tour, we'll stop by
a modern cultural icon, the Philadelphia Art Museum.
We'll make a quick stop so everyone can
run up the steps like Rocky.
Then it's back to the hotel to change for the banquet
In the evening, transfer to The KSA Celebration of Athletes
Banquet
All teams, cheerleaders, coaches, and Tag-Along Fans will
come together to meet and celebrate sportsmanship. Get your
camera ready, this is a once in a lifetime experience. We'll
be seated and receive a fabulous banquet style meal. After dinner,
each team will be introduced and each coach will say a few words
about their team. Every team member, cheerleader, drill team
member, manager, trainer, and coach will receive a KSA Participation
Medal-because everyone who worked hard enough to get here is
a winner! And finally, to close the Banquet, each Cheerleading
Squad will take center stage for a performance in front of the
entire group, showing which school has the best spirit. Is it

The
KSA Celebration of Athletes Ceremony is sponsored by KSA Events
and Campus Get-Aways. To keep the event unique and intimate, only
students, coaches, and Campus Get-Aways Tag-Along Fans are eligible
to attend, so make sure your parents book in time.
After the fun, transfer back to the hotel
Free time by the Pool to relax!

Friday, Game Day
Buffet
Breakfast at the hotel
Team transfers to the movie theater
Watch game films or a current movie to relax, whichever follows
your team's schedule at home
Transfer back to the hotel for a Buffet Pasta Lunch
in the afternoon
Relax and prepare mentally for the game
At appropriate time, the team will transfer to the
the KSA Kick-Off Classic - featuring your team
Junior Varsity game, if played, will usually precede the varsity
game,
but is sometimes played Thursday evening
Tag-Alongs will have their own transportation a little closer
to game time
After your team wins and you accept the trophy at midfield--
Transfer back to the hotel for a Celebration Pizza Party
Free time by the Pool to relax!

Saturday,
Celebration Day
Buffet
Breakfast at the hotel
Check out of hotel & Load Luggage into luggage truck
Transfer to 30th Street Station for a great ride
on Amtrak
Arrival in Washington, DC at historic Union
Station
Lunch on your own at the huge Union Station Food Court
Board Buses with guides for a narrated Tour of Washington,
D.C.
Make sure you're wearing your jersey or team warm-up because our
first stop
will be the U.S. Capitol for a professional photo in front
of the Capitol
Then, we'll start the tour to learn and what all the buildings
are
and what this city represents. We'll see the U.S. Capitol, the
White
House, the U.S. Supreme
Court, the Library of Congress, all the
museums of the Smithsonian
Institution, and many, many more.
As sunset arrives, we'll make a solemn visit to the great monuments
in DC: the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the
Vietnam Veteran's Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, and
the Iwo Jima Memorial. Make sure you have plenty of film!
After the tour of the monuments, we'll go to dinner at the brand
new ESPN Zone
Enjoy great food and
an awesome interactive game room
Finally, it's off to the hotel to check in

Sunday,
Departure Day “The Trip Home”
Buffet
Breakfast at the hotel
Check out of hotel & Load Luggage into luggage truck
Transfer to Arlington National Cemetery
Take a tour of our Nation's most sacred resting place.
Visit the grave of John F. Kennedy and view the Tomb of the
Unknown Soldier and
the world famous Changing of the
Guard Ceremony. Your
school can even formally present a wreath
at the Tomb of the Unknown.
Transfer to the Capital Mall
Explore the Smithsonian Museums
Lots to see, so we'll move as a group to each museum--
Including the National Air & Space Museum, the National
Museum of Natural History,
and the National Museum of
American History.
Lunch on your own during the day
Later in afternoon, we'll transfer to the National Holocaust
Memorial Museum
Experience real history at Washington's most popular
and solemn memorial museum
After this tour, we'll all meet and then depart for the airport
Goodbye Washington
Welcome Home!
