Drama Groups have a unique opportunity to travel
and learn on the world's stage.
We
have been proud to take many drama groups to
the living classroom around the world.
Let
us do the same for you.
Because of the variances of each group, we have not presented a
specific sample
itinerary here. Instead, we wish to first, briefly introduce you
to the different types of trips
that you can take; and second, introduce you to the different
drama group
destinations that we would suggest.
Additionally,
we have provided links to our music program sample itineraries,
solely for you
to get a flavor of what is available as a standard tourist.
However, as a Drama Group,
your itinerary would vary widely according to the educational goals
of your group.
Please

interested
in experiencing and we will be happy to put together a great personalized
itinerary for your group.
Types
of Trips
All Drama - In an all drama
trip, a group would likely choose very intensive theater based activities.
This usually includes attending a different type of play every night
or afternoon of the trip. Additionally, days are usually spent in
workshops conducted by theatre troupes. You could also attend workshops
that take place immediately after your evening performances. This
workshop gives you an opportunity to workshop immediately after
the performance while the theater is still dressed and the actors
are still in costume. And lastly, you can opt to attend workshops
conducted at local universities or Performing Arts Schools. In any
event, most of the trip is centered around Drama based activities,
similar to a camp. Only moderate amounts of time are allocated to
typical sightseeing activities in this type of trip.
Partial
Drama - This type of trip is well balanced and is
our most popular. It includes, similarly to the All Drama trip,
a fairly intensive theater activity level. This is usually defined
by attending plays every, or almost every night of the trip. It
also usually includes a post-performance workshop or two to help
hone your group's skills and interest in the theater. However, it
leaves the day open for typical sightseeing activities available
in the great destination of your choice.
No
Drama
- This type of trip is typically put together as a reward trip for
a great Drama Group. It's mission, while definitely educationally
based, is also celebratory. It will likely include one or two plays
and may or may not include any workshops. The true purpose is to
gain the education of travel---the living classroom. Most activities
will be based around typical sightseeing activities available in
the destination.
Destinations

New York City - Broadway,
the Big Apple, Start Spreading the News.... Need we say more. It
is easy to understand why this is the undisputed favorite of drama
groups. In addition to the great theaters on Broadway and Off-Broadway,
New York is a great city of culture and learning. It boasts great
Performing Arts Schools and is likely the best city in the nation
for sightseeing. You could stay forever and still not see everything
available.

London
- The Broadway of Europe, London is the other great theater city
of the world and is a true favorite of drama groups. Similar to
New York, London offers incredible theater in it's world famous
West Side theater district. Also a home to world renowned Performing
Arts Schools, London does have a traditional advantage in one aspect,
Shakespearean Theater. Whether it be the Royal Shakespearean Theater
or another of England's great troupes, any drama group studying
Shakespeare intensely can't pass up a trip a to London. Away from
the theater, London, like New York, serves as its continent's modern
city of culture. A trip here would certainly leave you looking forward
to your next return.

Toronto - Often the unheralded
theater city of North America, Toronto offers the second largest
theater district on the continent. Toronto offers a wide array of
theaters as well as Performing Arts Schools in its own right. Additionally,
Toronto, named by the UN as the most culturally diverse city in
the world, offers an incredible selection of typical sightseeing
activities to keep you entertained while outside of the theater.
In addition to a great first time destination, Toronto offers a
group that travels yearly an opportunity to explore a different
city, in a different country, that is still close to home.
